HIGH SCHOOL GROUP

High School group is focused on improving swimmers through better technique.
High School will meet the needs of swimmers who are coming from other clubs, other sports, high school swimmers or swimmers currently in the MAG program who are still working on translating dryland power into aquatic speed. Technique is the primary focus
with speed, power and explosiveness playing large roles.

Practice:
is offered 6times a week. . Practice duration is approximately two hours. One hour and thirty minutes of that time will be spent in the water. Thirty minutes will be dedicated to dryland. Swimmers are strongly encouraged to attend all practices as skills and progressions build from one practice session to another.

Goals and Expectations for the High School Group:
- Continue becoming more fluid in swimming (no splashing)
- Actively improve distance per stroke
- Swimmers will monitor and improve their training intensity
- Learn leadership skills
- Provide an effective training program to further improvement in time and technique
- Swimmers will learn to actively monitor and improve their stroke technique
- Swimmer understands and takes responsibility for attendance, and performance, and work habits in practice and how these three relate to meet performance

Training Equipment & Team Training Apparel
- 1/2 Fins (soft rubber in appropriate shoe size)
- Water bottle (mixture of 50% juice/ 50% water)
- Pull buoy
- Kick board
- Hans hand paddles
- Running shoes (every day)
- Appropriate dry-land attire for any weather
- Goggles (two pair)
- Blue MAG cap (on team apparel order form)
- Mesh bag to hold equipment
- Warm hat and gloves for dry-land
- Finis snorkel
- Leg band (on team apparel order form)
- Energy bar/ fruit for break during practice
- Med ball – that bounces – weight should be 1LBS for every 13.5LBS of body weight

Competition Apparel (on team apparel order form)
Required:
- MAG team suit
- White MAG cap (silicon or latex)
- MAG t-shirts (1 grey and 1 blue)
-Nike ‘HYDRA’ should be purchased for rested meets
